Fathers Club - Saint Thomas Academy

     On behalf of the Fathers’ Club Advisory Board, welcome to the Saint Thomas Academy Fathers’ Club community. Simply by virtue of a boy’s enrollment at STA, his father, step-father or the male father-figure in his life is a member of the STA Fathers’ Club. We enthusiastically encourage involvement and participation in Fathers’ Club, but don’t feel as if this is a “pay-to-play” proposition: While we certainly accept and encourage the voluntary dues and contributions that help fund our activities and events, dues payments are not mandatory for participation in Fathers’ Club or its activities.

The overall mission of the Fathers’ Club has always been threefold:
•    To support the goals and mission of the school;
•    To support our sons in an effort to enhance their overall experience while at the Academy; and
•    To provide a positive leadership role model for our sons.

The 2012-13 Fathers’ Club continues that mission and the tradition of providing interactive events that enhance the Saint Thomas Academy experience for the fathers and boys of our community, as well as for STA families and the greater STA community. All Fathers' Club activities are intended to be consistent with and support each of the school's goals and to provide positive role modeling as we develop our sons to be young men of dignity, integrity and respect.

     Please open the Fathers’ Club Calendar in the sub-menu and browse through the varied Fathers’ Club events for this year. All Fathers’ Club activities are intended to be consistent with and supportive of each of the school’s goals and to provide positive role modeling as we develop our sons to be young men of dignity, integrity and respect. Some (like the tailgating events) are family-oriented and many provide an opportunity for fathers and sons to do something fun together. Other events are dads-only or joint events with the STA Mothers’ Club, providing an opportunity to get to know each other and to better understand and appreciate the greater Saint Thomas Academy community. Our monthly meetings provide an opportunity to hear about STA policy, programming and academics from the administration and academic staff, as well as a chance to discuss issues of concern and to help direct Fathers’ Club initiatives and activities.

     We hope to continue to build on our traditions and successes of the past as we enhance our relevance to the greater Saint Thomas Academy community. We welcome your participation and volunteerism as we join together to ensure our boys have a terrific experience at STA. Please contact any of us if you have any questions or requests.
