This 95,000 square foot building will house a competition gym, a practice gym, wrestling room, fitness center and locker rooms. A new fine arts suite and classrooms are also part of the construction.
Athletics have always played an important part of the co-curricular activities of the institution. From its early days, the Academy has participated in intramural and interscholastic competition. Many conference, regional, district and state championships have been won over the years. See the sidebar to the left for a list of state championships teams.
Saint Thomas Academy's co-curricular athletic program is designed to meet the needs and foster the interests of all students. It is part of the school's philosophy to involve students in activities beyond the classroom. Participation contributes to an espirit de corps and provides more avenues for individuals to achieve excellence.
